A short interview is what you get when you prepare questions for the singer and get the to talk to the bassplayer. Still a nice chat though.
M: So just to start it of, you guys just started your European tour and I think you’re known for your relentless touring efforts, so how is everything going with thi tour in general?
D: The tour has been awesome and I’d say it’s probably the most successful headlining tour we’ve done anywhere. The turnouts every night have just been awesome
M: So how many people are coming out every night?
D: I’d say about 350-400 people on average and it’s just awesome. Besides the first tour we did with Biohazard, these are our first real big shows besides festivals we only played smaller shows, but now it’s great to have a who epackage with DonnyBrook and Blacklisted.
M: Speaking fo your touring, your Bassplayer Carl just left the band? Why was that? Was he just burned out of touring, or what other reasons where there?
D: Yeah, kind of. He was a little different then anyone else in the band, since we’re partying all the time and he was just over with it.
M: since you said, he was kinda different than everyone else, so you’re not afraid that the same thing might happen to any of you guys?
D: Maybe, who knows….
M: So in the last year, did you have any favourite places? You’ve been to Japan an Australia as well
D: Yeah, Japan was amazing, we’ve been other in September for 2 weeks and it was the second time we went there and we also went o Australia and New Zealand for the second time. Australia is probably my favourite place in the world.
M: To play or just to be there?
D: Both, the shows have been great, the weather, the beaches. Brazil was really cool, too, although I wouldn’t wanna live there but…
M: So would you guys consider yourself to be “tour-a-holics”? Do you HAVE to be on the road, or do you enjoy being home for a couple of weeks as well ?
D: Oh, I love that to, but the thing is, whit the kind of band that we are, this is our job, we don’t have jobs outside of this, and we don’t make enough money if we’d just tour 4 month and than stay home the rest of the time.
M: The next thing I wanted to talk about is lyrics, but I suppose you’re not quite the right guy to do so…
D: Yeah, I just think that most of our lyrics are pretty personal to which the majority of people can relate to. They’re about situations everybody goes through.
M: So in general they’re not about global issues and stuff like that?
D: No, not really.
M: So do you think just nowadays as band get bigger, to have a message to give to the kids?
D: Yeah, definitely. A reason why Terror started was that we saw that many of the things we grew upon in Hardcore were diminishing and we wanted to put back the real hardcore.
M: So you’d say that things have changed since you first got into Hardcore?
D: Definitely, both, for the better and the worse. Some things are better, some are worse. Take for example the internet. On the one hand it has ruined some things with all the trash-talking and ebay-madness going on, on the ohter hand, it helps to easily find out about shows, check out new bands and stuff like that..
M: I just wanted to talk about the new album a bit which you’re gong to record in February. The titles of your last album and the 10” seemed like one is kinda like a sequel to the other, so do you have a title set for the record yet? Will it be in the same vein?
D: We don’t have a title set yet, but I don’t think the album in general will be to much of a difference. I don’t think anyone can expect anything different. I mean we are what we are and we’re not going to come out with a new record of which everyone just thinks “of fuck, what the hell is this” is more gonna be like “oh yeah, that’s another Terror record, you know..
M: So that’s all I had, thanks for taking the time.
D: Thanks man.
