 Local kings are back again.
Recently I read a review by a big German mailorder about this new album by local Ska / Punk heroes saying, that Loaded were getting worse over the years but now being back with a blast. While I can´t agree with the first part of the review, the later is certainly true. The new CD is backed with 13 anthems (I mean it!), that sound really fresh, upbeat and euphoric. Each of the songs sounds like this three piece had lots of fun writing, playing and recording the songs. Being it upbeat Punkrock songs like "This poison moon" or "Jackie Cola, Rock´n´Rolla" (with nice Slap Bass!), Ska influenced songs or the Reggae meets punk scorcher "The revolution comes to main street". Concerning their musical approach Loaded are for sure comparable to The Clash, but no rip-off as they add enough ideas to create their own identity. If you like The Ratchets for example, you´ll surely dig Loaded, too. Great one and I can´t wait to see Loaded live alongside Ted Leo in Ludwigshafen 16th of June!
