Having interviewed Herbert from São Paulo lately, here we have another interesting artist out of this City: Vitche.

Q: Introduce yourself first, please (name, age, location, anything that you think is important to know about you...).
A: Vitche 33 years old. I was born in São Paulo. I live my life in a world, which is for many people imaginary, but for me it’s reality.

Q: How is living in Sao Paulo?
A: Each day is different than the other. One day I wake up with many answers, the other day with a head full of questions.
Q: In which way is Sao Paulo influencing you in what you´re doing?
A: I look at the city with it´s surfaces and find some things, that are suffocating me and I wish to change everything. I also see a lot of life and death, too.
Q: How did you get in contact with art first?
A: Since I was a boy, drawing was the art, which got me excited always.
Q: What´s your motivation for being creative?
A: To be alive and to know that .
Q: How would you call what you´re doing?
A: I don´t like names. What I do has no definition.
Q: Are you creatively active in other ways?
A: When you are creative in order to know to be alive, there is no other way than being creative.
Q: Do you think art has the power to change peoples mind or to get them think about certain issues?
A: I look at art like a magic and ritual. Inside this every is possible .

Q: Which kind of music are you into and what are some of your favourite bands?
A: Before the eighties I have listened to: cars, industries, machines, shouts, people talk
and shriek, trains, sirens, yelps. Like or not. I had to listening.
Q: If you could do artwork for the upcoming release of a musical artist, who would you like to work with if you could choose anyone?
A: Everyone who is one the same frequency of thinking.
Q: Hearing about graffiti art from Brasil the usual names dropped are Os Gemeos, Herbert, Nina and you. Are there other inspiring artists one should keep an eye on?
A: Yes, the other interestings artists in Brasil are simple people.
Q: What was the most interesting object or location you´ve worked on and why was it so interesting?
A: I like the light, noises, people, voices and smells which you can find everyday when painting. These make up the big moments for me.

Q: Who are the most inspiring artists for you and why?
A: People’s my day by day if me are true artists because acting
unconsciousness way but with authenticity, like a chil’s draw.
People are making my day who are true artists because of acting in an unconscious way but with authenticity. Drawing like a child.
Q: How is the legal situation concerning graffiti in Brasil? How does the police work, are there vandal squads, is there a lot of illegal streetbombing?
A: The city is all destroyed. Pure Pixação. Each policeman handles it different.
Q: What is one of your greatest dreams concerning your art?
A: To have my art reflecting my reality. To be continuous and do it with intensity.
Q: Did you have exhibitions, yet?
A: Yes
Q: If could ask anyone you wanted to one question, who would it be and what would be the question?
A: I wouldn´t ask myself any questions, because I wouldn´t have any answers.
Q: .Something you feel we forgot about and you think it has to be mentioned?
A: Let´s go everybody to discover the password to the world and take notice: We are all together on it.
